A new m/v Murgash is joining NAVIBULGAR fleet

Today, April 17, the flag of the 32 300 DWT bulk carrier m/v Murgash has been raised at the Chinese shipyard Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co.
This vessel is the 3rd one in Navibulgar’s history named after Murgash mountain peak.
The Head of BULNAV Manning - Mrs. Teodora Krasteva is the godmother of Navibulgar’s new acquisition .
Captain Martin Sotirov and engineer Georgi Kolev are her first master and chief engineer accordingly.
From the beginning of 2025 this is the third lake-fitted bulkcarrier delivered by the global leading shipyard - Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co. Three more ships of this series are scheduled for delivery within 2026, which is another definite confirmation that Navibulgar is successfully renewing its fleet.
The first “Murgash” was a 13 902 tdw ore-carrier built in Japan. Her maiden voyage route was Japan- Australia- England- Bulgaria under the command of captain Asen Bondzhev. The lady was serving in Navibulgar fleet from 1967 to 2009.
On June 03, 2014, the flag of the second “Murgash” was raised in Las Palmas. The lady was a 41 675 dwt bulk carrier.
Captain Strahil Ivanov and engineer Plamen Kozhuharov were her first master and chief engineer accordingly. She was serving in Navibulgar fleet till 2022 when she was sold as second hand vessel.
