Navigation Maritime Bulgare continues the renewal of it’s fleet. The first addition to the company’s fleet this year, is the bulker "Chumerna" (IMO: 9621871). The vessel was built in May 2012 in Zhejiang Zhenghe - Zhoushan, China. By now the vessel was operated by the Swiss company “ABC Maritime” named “ADFINES SOUTH”.
The main particulars of ice classed 1C m/v "Chumerna" are DWT 36940,LOA 189,99, Beam 28.5 m. The main engine Hyundai MAN / B&W: 6S46MC-C8 has an output of 6300 kW, which allows a top service speed of 14.0 knots. The ship has ice class 1C and in practice with those of its characteristics "Chumerna" is almost sister vessel of m/v Rodina , m/v Bulgaria and m/v “Sredna gora” that Navibulgar gained after the privatization of the company.
Navigation Maritime Bulgare continues to develop a strong fleet of modern ships in its fleet of 36,000 to 43,000 tons deadweight. In the next few months , this fleet will be increased successively with three new vessels of this class.
"Chumerna" is the third ship carrying the same name in the history of Navibulgar. The first is a 15,570 tons motor tanker, which is part of the fleet from 1965 to 1974. The second was designed and built in Bulgaria 10 703 tons bulk carrier which is part of the fleet from 1978 to 2007.
