Naming ceremony of the 9th from the series of fifteen 32,000 tonne bulk carrier m/v Koznitza
Today, October 25, 2024, the flag of the 9th from the series 32.000 tonne bulk carrier m/v “ Koznitza” has been raised at the Chinese shipyard Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co.
Mrs. Dima Krasteva, an Insurance Specialist of Navibulgar, is the godmother to the lake fitted bulk carrier m/v Koznitza.
Captain Martin Sotirov and engineer Georgi Kolev are her first master and chief engineer accordingly.
M/v Koznitza, like her sisters from the series of fifteen 32,000 tonne bulk carrier, is a lake fitted bulk carrier capable of sailing in the Great Lakes of North America.
The current 2024 will be recorded in the history of the 132-year-old company as the year with the most newly built vessels.
The delivery of three more vessels from the 32.000 tonne bulk carrier series is scheduled within 2025.
Till the end of 2026 the delivery of the 15th of the same lake fitted series is expected.
40 years ago,on August 8,1984,the flag of the first Koznitsa was raised.
The lady was a 25 000 tdw bulk carrier built in Varna.
Her maiden voyage was under the command of captain Orlin Stanchev to Murmansk.
She was serving in Navibulgar fleet until 2013.
The second vessel Koznitza was serving in Navibulgar fleet from 2015 to 2020.
The lady was a 32 600 tdw bulk carrier built in China.
Captain Ivaylo Paskov and engineer Valentin Stoykov were her first master and chief engineer.
